Highlighting Canadian Ingenuity
These companies span a wide array of sectors, demonstrating creativity and determination in their respective fields. Whether they are trailblazers in space technology, enthusiasts of audio-visual innovations, or specialists in maple syrup production, one common thread unites them: a consistent record of growth.
Understanding Our Methodology
Initiated in 2019 by The Globe and Mail, this ranking assesses both private and public Canadian businesses based on their revenue growth over three years. Participation in the Canada’s Top Growing Companies program is voluntary, with entries accepted until May 2024.
Application Process
- Companies must complete a comprehensive application survey.
- Supporting financial documentation for the years 2020 and 2023 is required.
- Evaluation is based on the most recent fiscal year for which financials are available, with some assessments using calendar years.
To qualify, a company must be Canadian-owned and have reported at least $2 million in annual sales during its latest fiscal year. It’s important to note that franchisors are evaluated solely on their corporate revenue, excluding system-wide sales. All financial figures are presented in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise.
Research Team
This year’s rankings were compiled by a dedicated research team, including Claire Robbins, Fiona Collie, and Rasha Rehman. For those interested in participating in the 2025 rankings, further details will be available in due course.
