Graduation Information for Auburn Class of 2024 at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine
As graduation approaches for the Auburn Class of 2024, students and their families are gearing up for a momentous occasion. The ceremony will take place on May 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM CDT at Neville Arena, formerly known as Auburn University Arena. To ensure a smooth experience, here’s a rundown of important details for graduates and their loved ones.
Ordering Graduation Regalia
Graduation regalia, including caps and gowns, is a significant part of the ceremony. Students can order their regalia through the R. M. Hendrick Graduate Supply House. The graduation fee already paid covers the cost of this regalia. When placing your order, it’s crucial to confirm the accuracy of your information by selecting “Yes” on the ordering page. Remember, you’ll keep this regalia as a keepsake from your medical school graduation.
The deadline for ordering regalia is set for Monday, March 18, 2024, at midnight. For any questions about the ordering process, students can reach out to Paige Oglesby or Meredithe Kelsoe via their VCOM emails.
Family Hooder Regalia
In a special tradition, select family members have the opportunity to be on stage during the hooding ceremony. This privilege is extended to spouses, parents, stepparents, grandparents, siblings, and aunts/uncles, provided they hold a D.O. or M.D. degree. It’s essential to note that friends or mentors are not eligible for this role.
The cost for renting family hooder regalia is $76, and payment can be made online. This regalia must be returned immediately after the ceremony to receive the graduate’s diploma. Students must complete a survey to ensure their family hooders can participate, and the order deadline is also March 18, 2024.
Diploma Details
Each graduate will receive two copies of their diploma, with the option to have them framed. Two framing companies are available for students: Cameragraphics, a local business in Auburn, and Church Hill Classics, a national vendor known for its high-quality products. The deadline for framing orders with Cameragraphics is April 10, 2024, at 4 PM CST, while Church Hill Classics offers various framing options tailored specifically for VCOM diplomas.
